Register now for the 2018 Annual Conference to be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1307 E. Market Street, Akron, OH 44305 from June 13-15, 2018.


In order to create a more efficient way of distributing materials, you will receive all available materials in advance of the Conference via email. Registering for the conference will require a valid email address. The email will also serve as your registration confirmation.  We no longer pass out paper handout packets at the conferences. Please feel free to print out these materials and bring them with you to the Conference and/or download to your personal electronic devices such as an IPAD or Tablet. It is important for you to decide the best method of using the materials to prepare in advance.  We believe a preview of the information can be extremely beneficial in preparing for the Conference. Some presenters may bring handouts with them that were not made available for distribution prior to the conference. Please Note: Emails are sent through the same software as the OML Legislative Bulletin, anyone who has “unsubscribed” from the distribution list must re-subscribe or use a different email address.

In order to ensure the conference materials reach attendees in enough time to prepare we have set a Registration and Payment Deadline for June 4, 2018. All paid registrations will receive the confirmation email with materials starting June 6th. Golf Outing- There will be a golf outing on Wednesday, June 13th at the Good Park Golf Course in Akron, Ohio.  A separate golf registration form is included in this mailing.  Tee times will be emailed to those registering. 

Spouse Program – In lieu of a Spouse Tour, since there are ample shopping and dining venues in the area, we will offer the spouses information about shops and restaurants, and places to visit. We will have a small meeting room in the hotel available on Thursday for the spouses to meet and enjoy snacks.

Conference Registration - A registration form, spouse registration form and a tentative agenda is enclosed in this mailing, please complete and return the forms and payment to the association office or register online and mail/bring payment. 

Hotel -  The conference is being held at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1307 E. Market Street, Akron, OH 44305. To make reservations please contact the hotel at (330) 733-2900. The room rate is $129   Cut-off date is 5/24/2018. Please see reverse side for complete Hotel Information.

Wednesday Soap Box Derby Museum (6:00 ~ 8:00 pm) at 6:00 pm trolleys will shuttle attendees from the hotel to the Soap Box Derby Museum, where they will enjoy a buffet dinner. Attendees will have the opportunity to drive the derby cars, if they wish.

DOOR PRIZES - We will continue the tradition of having door prizes raffled off at the 2018 conference.  All Mayors are invited to bring a unique gift representative of their communities to be included in the giveaway.  Gifts will be distributed during the Annual Business meeting luncheon on Friday.
